(Mongting) December 22nd, 1843.
I have the honor to forward to Your Lordship copies of two letters, No. 49 and 50, which I have received from the Land Officer of this Colony.
The plan of a part of the City, and the Elevation of a Building for Public Offices, which accompanied those letters, I have entrusted to Captain Brooke, my Aid-de-Camp, who is going home with the Treaty, and who will deliver them to Your Lordship.
It is only necessary for me at present to observe, that I consider
